FOCUS ON HAZWOPER TRAINING

Certified Environmental, Inc., is one of the leading training providers for HAZWOPER training in the State of Ohio.  Our Lead Training Instructor, Mr. Kelly Ruff, has real world and first hand experience serving on the elite State of Ohio 52nd Chemical, Biological, and Anti-Terrorism (CBT) Response Squadron.   Mr. Ruff has provided HAZWOPER training to Fire Departments, Hospitals, Manufacturing Facilities, Police Departments, and Emergency Responders throughout Ohio.  CEI provides for Operations Level and Technician Level HAZWOPER Training, as well as 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher Training.  Below is a summary of the different HAZWOPER training courses provided by CEI.  
OPERATIONS LEVEL EMERGENCY RESPONSE – 8 HOURS
This course provides basic hazard and risk assessment techniques, personal protection equipment, basic hazardous materials terminology, and basic decontamination procedures.  This course provides students with the basic defensive mitigation techniques and describes standard operating procedures.  This 8-hr course is designed to meet and exceed the 29 CFR 1910.120, paragraph (q), training requirements for Awareness and Operations.     
TECHNICIAN LEVEL EMERGENCY RESPONSE – 24 HOURS 
This course covers basic defensive and offensive mitigation techniques available to today’s first responders.  This course provides practical hands-on training experience and students walk away with a complete understanding of the proper use and wear of personal protective equipment.  This 24-hour course is designed to meet and exceed the 29 CFR 1910.120, paragraph (q), Awareness, Operations, and Technician level training requirements.     
REFRESHER TRAINING TO FIRST RESPONDERS – 8 HOURS 
This is an 8-hour refresher course to meet the Emergency Responder requirements.  It is designed to provide students with a solid review of emergency response procedures to maintain appropriate competencies.  This 8-hour course is designed to meet and exceed the requirements in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8).

FOCUS ON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION   HM-181   TRAINING
Course Duration:  4 Hours
This training seminar is designed for all employers and employees who are engaged in any activity related to the identification, classification, packaging, marking, labeling, loading, unloading, placarding, receiving, preparation of shipping papers, or    offering for transport hazardous materials or hazardous waste. This training   includes an introduction to OSHA, EPA and DOT and explains their responsibilities. Packaging, Completion of a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, and Specific DOT placarding and marking requirements are covered. This DOT HM-181 Training Class will be approximately four (4) hours in duration.  At the end of this training, students will be tested to assure their awareness of the responsibilities under EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.  Students will receive an Employee Certificate at the completion of the training class.
